Artisan Products
The Artisan Products program provides meaningful employment for the residents of Willow River Farms. Residents may weave placemats and rugs, make paper the old-fashioned way, embroider, knit, create one-of-a-kind ceramics and make hand-dipped candles. The Artisans at Willow River Farms take pride in their creations; many of which are sold to the public.
Caning
Founded in 1979, Cullen Caners restores caning, rushing and wicker furnishings to meet customer specifications. Cullen Caners can repair or replace hand woven or prefabricated materials. Please note: Cullen Caners does not repair or stain furniture.

GINGERSNAPS ETC. is 100% volunteer driven. All proceeds from the sales of products in these web sites go to enrich the lives of the 600 adults served daily by The Center Serving Persons with Mental Retardation. The GINGERSNAP ETC. volunteers have sold more than 1 million dollars of their products and contributed more than $800,000 to The Center.
THE CENTER is a private not-for-profit United Way agency, which has for more than 60 years served children and adults through educational, residential and work training programs.
WILLOW RIVER FARMS, a program of The Center, is home to 50 adults and is an artisan community located an hour from Houston in rural San Felipe, Texas. It is here that the GINGERSNAP ETC. project was inspired and where the artisans make the gilded handmade paper ornaments that decorate our gold tins.
The philosophy of The Center and Willow River Farms is that every person has value and worth, is entitled to the highest quality of life and should be treated with dignity.
