This position, while charged with specific functions as listed under principal responsibilities, will be required to participate in the overall operations of the Infirmary, including the usual expectations of a person trained as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. These duties may include, but are not limited to, accompanying residents to the doctor or hospital in the event of an emergency, reporting medication discrepancies and/or problems to the nursing supervisor, and a willingness to take direction and assignment charges when necessary. Responsible for providing basic nursing and health care needs of the residents. Requires responsibility for administering first aid, providing on-going medical treatments, nursing documentation and promotion of preventive health care. Attend resident’s ITM’s as required by floor assignment. Assist with semi-annual chart audits.
Required Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing.Two years current medication administration process.Clinical experience.Basic knowledge of nursing skills.Current Texas Licensure.
