The Residential Counselor is responsible for efficiently coordinating the daily activities for the residents in a large household. Duties include, but are not limited to, instructing/training residents so that they can achieve maximum independence while emotional well being of each resident in his/her care. Ensures necessary documentation is accurate and complete within established timeframes. The Residential Counselor may also instruct Relief Counselors regarding weekend activities. Local travel and stressful situations may be encountered.
Required Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent. One-year experience in teaching/training and supervising persons with developmental disabilities and/or mental retardation. CPR and SAMA upon hire and annually thereafter.
