Responsible for instructing and training adults with developmental disabilities in an Adult Activity setting. Performs assessments; implements and documents individual program plans under the direction of Service Coordinators; coordinates programming and activities with other staff, and monitors the overall safety and health needs of the assigned individuals. Uses materials as part of the daily activity/training program; generates developmental sequences; develops strategies for each objective and assumes complete responsibility for all training materials. Has responsibility for maintaining scheduled activities as written. Some local travel.
Required Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. One year working with people of mental retardation, or in a related human services setting. CPR & SAMA certification upon hire and annually thereafter. Valid TX Driver’s License.
