The Foundation is committed to supporting the mission and goals of The Center Serving Persons with Mental Retardation, and assists families in planning for the care of their family member with a developmental disability.The Foundation does this through its program of LifeCare. LifeCare services include development of a Personal Care Plan, Advocacy, Guardianship and Trust Management.

LifeCare represents the wishes of the family and acts on their behalf when it comes to making decisions that affect the quality of life for their family member. Whether those decisions involve the frequency and type of social activities or the more serious decisions regarding, for example, long-term health care and funeral arrangements.
